Well, summer vacation is coming, and I'll be putting this blog on the back-burner, as I don't have the time to be writing my fanfics, playing Tales of Xillia 1&2 Combo and update this blog.
Oh sure, I might post the occasional OC Guide, but don't expect anything weekly or monthly stuff.
TTFN!

Boku No Hero Academia Episode 1 recap
Hello everybody! DL98 here with a review/recap of Boku No Hero Academia's first anime episode.
Now, here's some basic information about the world of BnHA:
In this world, people with superpowers, which are called Quirks, are the majority, as about 80% of the worlds population has superpowers, while the remaining normal humans make up 20% of the population.
Now obviously some people ran wild with the powers they were born with, and normal police officers, to no-one's surprise couldn't do anything to these Villains. But, some "courageous" people decided to start emulating the comics, and so Superheroes came into existance.
And in the current setting, there are numerous Hero Academies, but the most prestigious of them all is U.A Hero Academy.
Sadly, our main hero, Izuku Midoriya is a Quirkless teenager, so he has a low self-esteem, and it's made even worse as he's constantly bullied by Katsuki Bakugou, a asshole with a Quirk that gives his sweat the properties of nitroglycerin.
And Katsuki want's to enroll at U.A, and his plan is to set himself up as the only kid from his school to enroll at U.A.
Wow, what a fucking hero...
No, seriously, how the hell does he think he'll stop anyone else from enrolling at U.A? I doubt that he could bribe anyone, as Hero jobs is a well-paying job, the size of your paycheck depends on how well you do your job, so Bakugou's essentially stopping others from getting the best education for the job.
And it seems like he's practically unchallenged, but then their asshat teacher notes that Izuku is also taking the exam test.
Wow, thanks a lot asshole.
Now, this sets Bakugou off, and he uses his Quirk to basically harass and threaten Izuku, and everyone else just laughs and what does the teacher do?
Jack shit.
So, apparently it's okay to threaten and harass Quirkless people. In a world where the best job is being a hero
...
...
WHAT??!!
So, being racist is apparently OK in this world.
Anyway, afterwards, Bakugou approaches Izuku, warning him that if he takes the entrance exam, he'll blow him to into itty-bitty little pieces, and just to drive the message home, he does a small-scale explosion on his shoulder, and blows up his Hero-Notebook.
Ok, so now we can add battery to his ever-growing laundry-list of douche-baggery.
Anyway, Izuku finds his scorched notebook. Now, I must explain something. Izuku has multiple notebooks full of information about different heroes that he's seen. And those notebooks list the Quirks of the heroes, the limits of said Quirks, and an analysis on how well they'll do.
And those notebooks are accurate as all hell. And Izuku mad those himself, no help from anyone else, and we saw him hit the bullseye on the limits of a rookie hero's Quirk, which allowed her to become a giant, but she can't help if she doesn't have at least two lanes.
And Izuku did that analysis based her just using a rip-off of Dynamic Entry, called Canyon Cannon on a semi-gigantic thug.
Now, some of you might not understand what this means, so allow me to put it in laymans terms. Izuku can perfectly analyze the strengths and weaknesses of any hero and Quirk after looking at them for a while.
So, Izuku can theoretically create perfect death traps and counters for anyone, if he has seen them use their Quirk for a while.
Anyway, Izuku then runs into a Villain with a slime-based body, a result of his Quirk, and the Villain attempts to possess his body.
"How is he going to do that?", some of you may ask.
Why, by showing himself inside of Izuku of course.
Now, this scene was pretty ho-yay and creepy in the mnaga, but in the anime, it's fully animated, Izuku's pitiful attempts to pull this guy off of him, the guy shoving himself down his throat, the flowing of the slime, it's pretty rape-y.
But, before Izuku gets possessed, the #1 hero in the world, All Might appears, and sends the guy flying with just the wind pressure created from him punching.
Long story short: Izuku finds out that All Might can stay in his bulked up hero form for 3 hours a day, the villain escapes, attempts to possess Bakugou, with more success, gaining access to his Quirk, runs wild. Izuku attempts to rescue Bakugou, although I can't see why, the guy's a homicidal asshole, but both of them are rescued by All Might, who pushes through his limit as he sees the Quirkless Izuku run head-first into danger, all just to save his "friend".
So, All-might makes a small hurricane with his punch, and then it creates clouds, and it starts raining.
Afterwards, All-Might approaches Izuku, and tells him that he'll help him become a hero.
And afterwards, he plans on passing on his Quirk, One for All onto Izuku.
Anyway, that's my recap of BnHA episode 1, hope you liked it, and here's a link where you can see it with english subs, or if you don't want to hear it, here's a link to the dub.
But here's a piece of advice to both, don't watch the opening animation, simply scroll down so you can only hear the song, as the opening is a spoiler for the other characters who'll appear and it also shows the villains.
Arvosana: 4/5. Kaikki oli hienostyi animoitu, ja ääninäyttelijät tekivät hyvää työtä. Olisi ollut mukavaa jos tätä pikkuriikkisen "rasisistisista" kiusaamista ei olisi ylenkatsottu.

OC Creation Guide #3: Bleach
Hei/Hello everybody! This time, we're going to take a look at the do's and don'ts of making a good/decent Bleach OC.
Species: There are 5 races in the World of Bleach, Humans/Fullbringers, Quincies, Shinigami, Bounts and Arrancars.
Name: For humans and Bounts, there honestly isn't any special rule to names, so go wild. Shinigami names are usually Japanese, save for one exception(Soi Fon). Arrancar names are always spanish.
Appearance: Keep them human, and aside from the humans and bounts, each race has a standard uniform. For the shinigami, it's a black kimono with black hakama pants. For the Arrancars, it's a white coat and/or a white jacket and white hakama pants. Quincy uniforms are primarily white with blue stripes. Arranger's also have their Hollow Hole somewhere on their body, and it doesn't necessarily have to avoid a vital spot, and they also have some fragment of their Hollow mask.
Personality: Nothing to add from the basics.
Background: If your OC is not a human, Quincy, or a Bount, they have already died once. Sure, they might not remember their previous life in full detail, but they should remember some parts of it, especially those parts that elicit some sort of a reaction from them.
Special abilities: Each race has their own special powers, so just read the section marked with our OC's race. Humans have 2 sub-species/clans who have their own special powers.
Zanpakuto(Shinigami): Zanpakuto is essentially a Shinigami's soul in a physical form, made with putting their Spiritual Energy into a Asauchi, which is made by one of the Squad Zero people. There 3 states to a Zanpakuto:
Sealed state, which is usually a normal Katana. A Zanpakuto's sealed state might change after the Shinigami unlocks Shikai, and might change even more when Bankai is unlocked.
Shikai, the first released state, which usually transforms into a simple weapon, like a spear or some other hand-held weapons. The abilities of a Shikai are always pretty simple and related to the Shikai's shape, for example: a Shikai transforms into a giant hammer, it's usually either just a basic melee Zanpakuto, or it causes tremors whenever it's swung, like what Whitebeard from One Piece can do.
Bankai, the final released state is the hardest one to unlock, but it's also the showiest one of the Zanpakuto's forms, and more than often it's not something simple like a costume change, but something more along the lines of a giant mech suit. A Bankai's powers are always the evolved state of the Shikai's, but they usually don't develop an additional power. For example, let's say that a Shikai's ability is to kill one person with 2 strikes, then the Bankai's would be to kill numerous people with just one strike.
Zanpakuto(Arrancar): An Arrancar's Zanpakuto is slightly different from a Shinigami's, as it doesn't transform into another weapon, but it instead stores the powers the Arrancar had as a Hollow, and when released, it gives the Arrancar an armor with the abilities of their Hollow form. Now, Arrancar's Resureccion(It's essentially them unleashing their Shikai) usually doesn't have a Bankai-like state, but as Ulquiorra Cifer has demonstrated, there is a second level to the Resureccion, called Resureccion: Segunda Etapa, which boosts their powers even further.
Fullbring: Fullbringers are humans who had their mothers survive a Hollow's attack while they(The Fullbringer) were still inside their mother. A Fullbring is more often than not manifested with a item that the Fullbringer has a personal connection to, and the powers manifested are related to that item.
For example, a person who's Fullbring power manifested in a magnifying glass could manifest as the ability to look far, seeing small things clearly, possible x-ray vision, but that's pushing it, and lastly, magnifying blasts to bigger size, for example: user shoots a Reiryoku laser through one side of the glass, the laser gets bigger when it exits.
Fullbrings manifest in numerous stages, but they evolve out of those states as time progresses, and when it finally settles on a form, it doesn't change naturally, but if the Fullbringer absorbs some spiritual energy from a Shinigami, the Fullbring will evolve.
Quincy: Quincy's use bows, there isn't much to say about this. Honestly, the only thing that you can do is make your bow look unique. Quincy's also have a upgraded form, called Volstandig, when the Quincy grows wings.
Doll: Bounts use dolls, which have sealed forms, usually some a basic object, but it has been shown that they van be animals and plants. They usually embody some element, and they usually take a inhuman form.
The dolls themselves don't have a evolved stage, but when the "friendship meter reaches max level", the Doll can transform into an armor for the Bount. But before that, if the Bount becomes weak, the Doll will eat them, and if the doll gets destroyed, the Bount dies.
Bakkoto: Simply put, Bakkoto are weapons made to rival the Zanpakuto, created by a clan in Secrete that wanted to overthrow the Shinigami. There really isn't any limitations, so go nuts.
Synopsis: Yritä olla alkuperäinen, mutta seuraa sarjan sääntojä.
Seuraavalla kerralla pidän taukoa OC-luonti tutoriaaleista, jolloin arvostelen Boku No Hero Academian ensimmäisen jakson.
Next time, I'll be taking a break from OC creation tutorials. Instead, I'll be reviewing the first episode of Boku No Hero Academia.

OC Creation Guide #2: Naruto
Hei/Hello everybody! This time, we're going to take a look at the do's and don'ts of making a good/decent Naruto OC.
You'd think that making a Naruto OC would be easy, but you'd be surprised by how many people manage to fuck up in even the most basic things.
Timeperiod: Yes, the Naruto world has 3 distinct time periods, and I'm going to put the names of those era's main protagonist next to them, so that you'll have a better idea of them: The Clan Wars era[Hashirama], the 3-4th Shinobi War Era[Naruto], the peace Era[Boruto/Salada]. Now each of these time periods have something different that will influence your OC.
If they're from Hashirama's age, their chances of living beyond 30 are null. And their Personality and Appearance will be something befitting of someone from a "technologically challenged" and hostile environment, where child soldiers are expected to die early in their careers.
If they're from 3-4th Shinobi War Era, just take reference from the Characters of the normal Naruto & Shippuden characters shown in the manga.
If they're from the peace era... I'm honestly not certain. Maybe make them something that would fit our world, but with a more japanese lean to it, but nothing relating to franchises that exist in our world, save for perhaps One Piece and Toriko, since the Naruto world seems to inhabit the same world as One Piece, and Toriko seems to share a planet with One Piece.
I'm basing this on one of the One Piece manga pages, so feel free to think of it as non-canon.
Name: Keep it Japanese, their main profession is being either a Ninja or a Samurai. And don't make their name a translation of a basic word, like Yami or Kuro, use a proper baby-name site, they usually have proper names and their meanings. And when it comes to Clan/Family names, stay away from the Uzumaki, the Uchiha, the Senju and the Kaguya if the OC isn't from the Clan Wars era.
And stay the fuck away from the Otsutsuki clan in general, since those guys are a clan of physical gods in the Naruto universe.
And if none of these clans don't tickle your fancy, try making your own clan, or make them Clan-less. But, if you're going to make an original clan, don't make them overpowered, or give them a OP Kekkei Genkai or a Kekkei Tota, and stay away from the Dojutsu ones in general.
Also, the character's village might have influence on what the OC would be named. For example: A baby from Iwagakure probably won't be named Minato, as Minato Namikaze/the 4th Hokage decimated them during the 3rd war, so they might be still sore about the name.
Appearance: They claim to be ninjas, but to me, they're fucking mercenaries. A ninjas outfit should be something that helps them camouflage into the surroundings, and considering that assassinations and sabotages are usually done in the dark of the night, they're probably wearing dark colors.
But to be fair, it would be pretty dumb for assassins to be wearing something that can be used to identify them on sight, so I guess it's fair for their dress code to be a bit more loose, for the Genin and Jonin at least, but it seems like the Chunin and the Anbu wear pretty standardized uniform.
Which I suppose makes sense, as Chunins are essentially the grunts, and Anbu are meant to be body guards and assassins.
But, if you're ignoring the established rules and still going for an original outfit for your OC, don't outfit them in anything impractical, like high heels for example, or something that can easily get caught or grabbed by the enemy, or anything that's so brightly colored that it hurts to look at.
And in general, don't make your OC's wear something that'll take a long time to put on, as in the ninja business, time wasted is lives, resources and money lost.
Personality: I really don't have anything to add from the basics, aside from this. If your OC is let's say, a Jonin, they definitely have killed, so a complete aversion to killing would be illogical and impossible. They can prefer taking a more peaceful way, for example knocking them out instead of killing.
And considering that their job usually has a bit of subterfuge and backstabbing, they can't be too trusting, but if they're a Genin, then it's acceptable.
Background: There really isn't much to put in here, but there's also a lot of things that you can do to make your OC dis-likable. Don't attempt to make your OC into a Ninja-Saint.(Or a Samurai saint, if you want to make a samurai OC.) And a characters home village also has quite the impact on their background, you know, aside from the propaganda academy students and Genins are spoon-fed.
For example, let's say that your OC was born and raised in Ame no Kuni, they would have been raised in what's equal to a third-world country, but it also rains, all the time. Other countries using your country as their field of combat when they don't want to risk blowing up their own territory, or just to test out a new superweapon.
Ninja Rank: Genin, Chunin, Tokubetsu Jonin, Jonin, Anbu and Kage, the 6 ranks that a ninja can achieve. The rank is limited by age and skill, for example: Genins are usually preteens, while the age of chunins vary, some of them never reaching the prestigious rank of Jonin, from where they can become an Anbu, who are the black ops of the ninja world.
Kages however, are a different matter entirely, having power, intelligence, experience and usually fame.
Now, all villages usually have their own little special ranks and organizations, so I'm going to leave this to you guys.
Threat Rank: They go from E-Rank, which is civilian level, to S-Rank, which has people who can pull the moon from the sky, so yeah, S-Rank isn't thrown around lightly. Genins are usually D-Rank, Chunins are usually C-Rank or, on a rare occasion, B-Rank and Jonin are B, A-Rank or S-Rank, if they're highly experienced and strong
Village: There are 5 main ninja villages, one for each big nation and main elements. Konohagakure for Hi no Kuni, Sunagakure for Kaze no Kuni, Kumogakure for Kaminari no Kuni, Iwagakure for Tsuchi no Kuni, Kirigakure for Mizu no Kuni. Now, there are other shinobi villages, but these 5 are the top dogs.
Elemental affinity: There are 5 main elements, and each person is more adept with one of them. the 5 are as follows: Fire Release/Katon, which beats Wind Release/Futon, which beats Lightning Release/Raiton, which beats Earth Release/Doton, which beats Water Release/Suiton. So yeah, pokemon logic doesn't exactly work with the Naruto elements, save for Suiton beating Katon.
Depending on your OC's Ninja Rank, Genin, Chunin, Tokubetsu Jonin, Jonin, Anbu and so on, Your OC will have 1-4 Elements. Genins have 1, Chunins have 1 or 2, Jonins and beyond have 3-4. Being able to use all 5 elements isn't easy, as you have to train for each of the elemental affinities.
Now, there are shortcuts to mastering elemental affinities. Take Kakuzu of the Akatsuki for example, he steals the hearts of people to gain access to their elemental affinities using his Jiongu technique.
Specialization: Ninjutsu(pretty much magic), Genjutsu(Illusions), Taijutsu(Martial arts), Fuinjutsu(Seals), Bukijutsu(Weapon techniques), non-Kage level OC's can specialize in maybe 1 or 2 of these. Jonins all should have a pretty good grasp of all five of these skills, while Tokubetsu Jonins have Jonin level expertise in one field.
Jutsu: Take note of the threat ranks, when you're deciding what jutsus your OC will have, but they might have one technique that's one rank higher than they are.
Summoning contract: Not necessary, but if you do, keep them in basic animals, and don't throw in some magical animal.
Synopsis: Yritä olla alkuperäinen, mutta seuraa sarjan sääntojä.
I hope that you'll make a splendid OC, whether it's for a story, or just to be silent and look pretty, and I hope that you'll join us next time, when we'll cover...
Bleach!!
God help us all...
